Wilson Family -Mandeville/Covington, La Family Photographer

I've been playing catch-up after losing power for three days from the SNOW!!! I'm still in absolute shock that we had over 6 inches here! But honestly, I did enjoy the little break, and losing power was kind of exciting! (Yes, it doesn't take much to excite me.) We used the fireplace, had candles all over the house and drank lots of hot tea. It was really nice to just enjoy the quiet and the calm. Skylar loved the snow.

A few days before the snow, I had a session with the Wilson family. I got to take them to my favorite locations and they were up for anything! They were so much fun and we had blast. They were so sweet and you could truly see the devotion and love they had for each other. Such a joy to photograph.

The Brown Family!

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Hope Brown (http://www.hopebrown.com/blog) this past weekend! Hope and I are active on the same photography message boards and it was so much to meet her in person! We met in the middle and photographed each others families in Baton Rouge. I can't wait to meet up with Hope again and play. She is an extremely talented photographer. I simply adore the images she captured of my family. Her are some of the images of her crew.

Hayden and Cameron Mandeville / Covington, La Children's Portrait Photographer

I love brown eyes. I get sooooo excited when I get to photography kids with big, warm, chocolate-kiss eyes!!! So you can only imagine how happy I was to pull up to my latest session and see these two beautiful kids walk out! These sibblings were awesome. Miss Cameron loves being on both ends of the camera and told me she could have me take pictures of her all day! (Girl, I could take pictures of you all day too!) And Hayden made the most hysterical faces! He had me cracking up with his "monkey face"! We captured some amazing images for their mom's Christmas Present! I told Dad I'd make sure I got him a "sneek peak" out on the blog before we go out of town, so here it is!

This is Miss Maci-Jane. She is full of attitude, spunk and giggles and sweetness. This girl had me cracking up during the whole session. She loves to play "fairy-princess" and her mother wanted a fun, colorful session that reflected "Maci" and I think we really hit that target! Here are some of her fun images!






And this shot was pure magic! I was making a camera adjustment, glanced up, and there was Maci up-side-down! I threw my camera up and grabbed the shot. It is one of my favorite images ever!

Okay, seriously, hanging out with Miss Annazelle Beaver makes me want another baby! She was so sweet, so happy, and simply adores her parents. (And you know her parents are crazy about her!!!) I loved watching Mom and Dad play with their sweet baby girl. I promised Courtney that I try to get her a sneak peek today, so here it is Courtney! Hope you like!

Sneak Peek for the Dean Family! Mandeville / Covington, La. Family Portrait Photographer

Last night I was able to meet the Dean Family. Nina Dean and I actually have so many mutal friends, but have never met, so it was fun to get to spend some time with her and her beautiful family. I just have to say Nina did an amazing job coordinating the clothing for her family! I need her to go shop for my family! Here are a few images from their session.

My little sis was a Senior in '08 and I loved getting to take her out and take pictures of her. I guess I'm just a tad biased, but she is the most beautiful model a photographer could ask for, not to mention the absolute nicest person I know. Toni is a freshman at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary this year and is loving college life. Here are some of the images we captured of her in her prom dress this summer!

Martha + Matt Mandeville / Covington, La. Engagement Portrait Photographer

I got a call from a dear friend of my little sis-in-law ealier today for an emergancy engagement session! So we headed out this evening to get a quick session in before we ran out of light. These two came in from New Olreans and had to fight traffic and who knows what else to get here. I wanted to post a little "sneak peek" for Martha and Matt so they could see how their session went! These two are just too cute together and you can see just how deeply they care about each other. Thanks for the fun evening guys! Oh and Martha, I seriously adore that dress! You looked so lovely.

I had a fantastic senior session with Miss "H" of Mandeville High this week. I absolutely love shooting seniors and really enjoyed our session. She was such a natural in front of the camera and we had a blast creating her images......Here is a little sample from her session!

The Amedeo's are one of those adorable families that you could just sit back and watch all afternoon with a big smile on your face. They really take care of each other and just ooze happiness. I loved getting to spend the afternoon with them shoot away as they interacted. Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

Couple's sessions are really unique! It is really fun to work with a couple who are as beautiful and in love as Mr. and Mrs. Valverde! They let me boss them around and pose them and actually seemed liked they enjoyed it almost as much as I did. I love the images we captured from this session and can hardly pick a favorite and wish I could post the entire session, but we'll just settle for a few.

First Blog Post!

I'm so excited to finally start blogging! I've been meaning to get a blog going all year and just never have had the time to get it all up and running, but thanks to the amazing Tara Staton (http://www.tarastatondesigns.com) that has all taken care of! She gave me a friendly kick in the rear and said it was time I started blogging and even designed the blog for me, along with some fabulous marketing pieces. She is simply awesome. If you are a photographer and are in need of design work, Tara is your woman.

So, I'll be posting recent session images and even going back and blogging images from ealier sessions this year that are just too fabulous not to share.
